The
Champions of Literacy Series is a multi-annual fundraising and public
awareness series, which seeks to promote the cause of literacy through
the presentation of authors who have made a difference through the
written word.
Thank you to our Champions of Literacy Series Sponsors:

BMC Software and its employees are dedicated to
making a difference in the communities in which we operate. We pride
ourselves in helping our neighbors through supporting numerous charitable
programs and humanitarian activities. As a result, we have focused
our commnity relations efforts in those areas where we believe we
can have a meaningful impact on the community and BMC Software's
employees. These include supporting programs that encourage social
services, wellness, higher education and literacy.
BMC Software is pleased to be a major sponsor of the Champions
of Literacy Series for Literacy Advance of Houston. We encourage
other Houston area business and individuals to join us in helping
Literacy Advance in its mission to advance literacy and advance
lives for our fellow Houston area residents.

The communities where Lyondell operates are important
to us. To make these communities better places to live and work,
we seek opportunities to further solutions to community problems
such as advancing literacy.
Employees at Lyondell's Houston area facilities volunteer as tutors
at Literacy Advance of Houston to help address the growing demand
for English as a Second Language, as well as to help adults who
struggle with everyday reading and writing. In addition to supporting
Literacy Advance through volunteers, Lyondell is also a sponso ro
the Champions of Literacy Series to help LAH raise much needed funds
to administer their vital programs to the community.
Lyondell values the contributions of the volunteers who donate
their time teaching classes at Literacy Advance. It's important
to give all citizens every opportunity to advance their social and
economic potential, and at Lyondell, we're proud to be a participant
in the successful Literacy Advance programs.
